High Holidays 5778

by Solel Announcements, August 31, 2017

As we prepare to welcome 5778, we invite you to take part in some of the special experiences that we have created for this year’s High Holiday services:

L’dor Vador – Multi-generational service

Join us on the 2nd Day of Rosh Hashanah, Friday, September 22nd at 10am for this uplifting and inspiring service. We will enjoy praying and singing together with our wonderful Solel musicians, in a more informal service. A special story is part of this service and you will have an opportunity to “Ask the Rabbis”. We look forward to celebrating the 2nd day of Rosh Hashanah with both Rabbi Pollack and Rabbi Englander on the bimah.

Healing Service, Yom Kippur afternoon

On the afternoon of Yom Kippur, we will have a Healing service. Open to all who would like to reflect on the need for healing – for yourself personally, for a loved one or friend, for caregivers, to support those in or community and to pray for the healing that our world needs this year. Please join us for this beautiful and moving service of song and prayer on Saturday September 30th at 1pm in the sanctuary.

Open Ark meditation

On Yom Kippur afternoon, Saturday September 30th, at 3pm, join us on the bimah for an intimate experience of personal meditation and prayer before the open ark. We will listen to inspirational music as we pray the prayers of our own hearts on the holiest day of the year.

Help Us Grow!

Do you know a new family that is looking for a synagogue home? Invite them to join us at Solel this High Holiday season. Family Rosh Hashanah services are at 3pm on Thursday September 21st, followed by Tashlich at 4pm. Family Yom Kippur services are at 4pm on Saturday September 30th. Free family service tickets are available for new families – contact the Solel office to register.
